ALMODA: DiMOS realises digital data space for safe mobility in the alpine region
DiMOS is pleased to announce the successful completion of the ALMODA project, in which the company acted as consortium leader. The project aimed to establish a cross-border data space for secure real-time communication, navigation and surveillance (CNS) data using artificial intelligence (AI) to drive mobility 4.0 in the Alpine region.
Innovative Use Cases
Three innovative application scenarios were developed and implemented as part of ALMODA:
1. Digital safeguarding of danger spots and smaller operating areas: The focus here was on the digital safeguarding of ungated railway crossings, pedestrian crossings at accident blackspots and automated operating areas such as robotic mowers in safety-critical environments.
2. Digital monitoring of operating areas and highly automated mobility applications at SAE Level 4: This scenario included the integration of operating area sensor technology and external data services, automated performance monitoring of GNSS signals and mobile communications in real time as well as the monitoring of highly automated mobility applications in accordance with §AFGBV (Ordinance on Autonomous Driving) with a focus on hub-2-hub logistics traffic on the motorway.
3. Coordinated BOS operations with rescue drones and a digital operations control system in the border region between Germany and Austria: the aim was to integrate mobile and autonomous infrastructure sensor technology in difficult-to-access alpine terrain, to commission rescue drones while taking legal and operational issues into account and to develop a digital operations control system for efficient operations management with a comprehensive real-time situation picture.
The successful realisation of these scenarios underlines DiMOS' expertise in managing complex consortium projects and developing innovative solutions for the mobility of the future. The company remains committed to creating sustainable added value for its customers and partners through technological advances.
