DiMOS beim Abschlussevent von DiMOS at the final event of Gaia-X 4 AMS - experiencing the future of mobility live
On 14 May 2025, the big final event of the Gaia-X 4 Advanced Mobility Services (AMS) project took place on the premises of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Braunschweig. As a subcontractor, DiMOS was represented with its own technical demonstration and showed how modern data infrastructures are shaping the mobility of tomorrow.
Data-driven mobility brought to life
Over the past few years, the Gaia-X 4 AMS project has focussed on the question of how trustworthy and sovereign data spaces based on the Gaia-X principle can enable new mobility services. At the final event, these concepts were demonstrated live for the first time - with practical driving demonstrations, presentations and panel discussions, including the formation of an emergency lane by autonomous vehicles.
An introduction from 12.30 pm was followed by live demonstrations in which the project partners clearly presented their solutions and engaged in dialogue with visitors. DiMOS also contributed to the momentum of the event with an impressive demonstration of its own technologies.
DiMOS: Control centre for drone telemetry & forensics
DiMOS presented a mobile data control centre set up on site, which received and visualised telemetry data from a drone belonging to project partner Elektro-Solar in real time. At the centre of the demonstration were two specially developed RSUs (road-side units) (solboxes), which provide live data for QoS monitoring (quality of service monitoring) on 4G/5G signal quality and GNSS signal quality. This allows automated alerts to be issued in real time if the signal quality of 4G/5G and GNSS decreases and jeopardises the safe operation of autonomous systems - a practical insight into securing data-based mobility solutions.
Takeaway
The final event of Gaia-X 4 AMS impressively demonstrated how trustworthy data spaces and networked systems will characterise the mobility of the future. For DiMOS, the event was an excellent opportunity to present its own expertise in the areas of control centre operations, live telemetry, quality monitoring and digital forensics in a real operational context.
The demonstrated solution reflects exactly what DiMOS stands for today: intelligent, networked systems for the safe operation of complex mobility and logistics solutions - with a focus on the safe operation of autonomous systems. DiMOS thus makes an important contribution to the realisation of the operation of safety-critical applications.
